Musumeci Editore was created 1967, within the print shop founded by Sergio Musumeci. In its 50 years of activity, the publishing house has issued both local and national collections: the list of publications as grown to included hundreds of titles, on different subjects, but with constant attention to the quality of the authors and their products.

The broad catalogue of the publishing house ranges from high quality illustrated books to publications for news-stands, such as for example the pioneering “Oasis”, the first Italian magazine on the environment, nature and travel.

The books include “Parchi nazionali e zone protette” (“National parks and protected areas”) by Fulco Pratesi, which launched the collection on nature, and “Fiori e piante medicinali” (“Medicinal plants and flowers”) by Aldo Poletti, a new exploration of natural health translated into French, German, Spanish and Dutch.

The Aosta Valley is encapsulated in the monumental “Nouveau dictionnaire de patois valdôtain” (“New dictionary of Aosta Valley patois”) by Aimé Chenal and Raymond Vautherin and the “Arte sacra in Valle d’Aosta” (“Sacred art in the Aosta Valley”), with the treasures of the Aosta diocese catalogued and analysed by Mons. Edoardo Brunod and don Luigi Garino.

After a deep-reaching renewal process, the publishing house has been led by Paolo Musumeci since 2013. The focus on the history and stories of the Aosta Valley is accompanied by interest in tradition, food and wine, guide books introducing the mountains. The printed pages and the ebooks of today span from chronicles of the Aosta Valley in the 19th century to the cinematographic description of Tor des Géants linking images of the western Alps to the plain. Photographs, mountains and spaces left open to narrative are the publisher's new directions, ready to put its experience to the service of new editorial proposals, to evaluate them and produce them.
