Cave Gargantua

Cave Gargantua

Cave Gargantua (the Gargantua Cellars) is a family-owned and run farm business that grows and processes grapes to turn them into wine.

Ninety per cent of the grapes which are harvested and vinified come from the farm itself, whereas the remaining 90% are bought from vineyard owners from the area, which are personally checked and monitored by the company owner. The company produces both DOC and table wines – reds, whites and rosés. In the second year of production around 8,500 bottles were produced, with the potential to rise to around 20,000 in the next few years.

Cave Gargantua grows mainly local variety grapes as well as some prestigious international varieties.

The company’s strong points are:

  • complete, personal management throughout the production process
  • recovery of old vineyards in the two main production areas in Gressan and Morgex
  • meticulous and environmentally-friendly vineyard management
  • modern vinification techniques which respect differences in variety and environment
