Società Agricola Noussan s.s.

The small wine-growing Noussan company was founded in 2004 with the recuperation of old vineyards which were planted with Petit Rouge, Mayolet, Fumin and Pinot Gris.

The vines are worked entirely by hand – work that is done with great passion and respect for nature. No kind of herbicide has been used for several years, the shoots and the grass are cut and left where they are to help decomposition and thus create terrain that is rich in humus, fertilisers are made just with compost and the only insecticides used are those allowed by EU agro-environmental regulations.

Wine is produced using traditional techniques, taking advantage of the natural cold that means that the end product is not subject to clarifying, in this way trying to create the most natural product possible, and also one which respects the typical organoleptic characteristics which are typical of Aostan wines.

Currently 1.3 hectares are worked in three municipalities (Saint-Christophe, Quart and Saint-Pierre) and production is around 8000 bottles, divided into five kinds of wine:
