In 1969, encouraged by his friend Pino Albaney, Papà Dauphin began to bottle his own wine to present it at the "Second Aostan Wines Exhibition”: it was this event which stimulated the move which took the Società Agricola Grosjean Vins from 3,000 square metres of vineyard to the current 16 hectares and with a production of about 140,000 bottles per year.

At the dawn of 2018, this excellent example of renewed Valle d'Aosta viticulture passes into the hands of the third generation Grosjean: Hervé, Simon, Didier and his son-in-law Marco have inherited the mandate.

The company is based between the municipalities of Quart and Saint-Christophe, with the Tzeriat, Rovettaz, Creton and Touren vineyards (in Quart) and the Merletta, Castello Passerin d'Entreves and Senin vineyards (in Saint-Christophe).

The first vines to be grown, as well as the traditional petit rouge, were the gamay, pinot noir and petite arvine, while currently the native fumin, cornalin, prëmetta and vuillermin varieties are also grown.

The growing techniques are closely linked to respect for the environment, so since 1975 there have been no insecticide or acaricide treatments, and fertilisers are rigorously made with organically-produced compost.
The vineyards are thus cultivated according to what organic farming decrees, with emphasis placed on the ancient local varieties.

Vallée d'Aoste DOC wines produced (classic wines): Torrette, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Fumin, Chardonnay,  Syrah Echelette, Muller Thurgau, Petite Arvine Chatel Argent.
