Azienda agricola Saint Grat di Viérin Ivo Isidoro

Over 330 tons of apples (Golden Delicious, Reinette, Royal Gala, Fufi and Mairac) are picked every year at Gressan at Ivo Viérin's Saint Grat farm.

The company's headquarters are located on the regional road travelling from Gressan to Jovençan. They are easy to find: they are close to the pretty shrine to Saint Grato located on top of a moraine planted with a vineyard.

Golden Delicious and Reinette apples, traditional products of the Aosta Valley as defined by art. 8 of law no. 173 of 30 April 1998, are grown in full compliance of the Rural Development Plan – axis 2 – measure 214 – action 3. Detailed guidelines on plant health governing the number and type of treatments are followed. The bright mountain sunshine and the dry climate lead to a high-quality product.

The Augusta brand was created to enable consumers to identify apples grown in Gressan by Ivo Viérin's Saint Grat farm and by Fabrizo Bisson's farm.
Why Augusta?
According to tradition, fruit farming and viticulture were already practised with success by the Romans in 23 B.C in the area around Aosta (Augusta Praetoria), and the products were greatly appreciated by the emperors.
