Studio SAEC was the transformation of a company into the SAEC Associates' Studio, set up in 1996. This studio is the result of a meeting between professionals already operating in the sector, and now consists of six partners and several contractors.
In March 2001, SAEC was awarded ISO 9001 certification for the creation of data bases and providing advice for local government departments.

SAEC employs different types of professionals, to deal with the following tasks:

• Coordinating large projects
• Creating complex databases
• Developing IT procedures
• Web-based IT procedures (school administration, AreaVda groupware, Office du Tourisme, public works monitoring, etc.)
• IT after-sales services
• Tourism: websites, local development projects, and mapping public footpaths through the Val d'Aosta
• Property and assets stocktaking
• Setting up websites
• Organisational advice and setting up IT systems
• Cartography: Local Information System, Recovery Planning• Local emergency services plans• Privacy and data security
• Land registry, taxation, and road numbers
