Maison Agricole Petit Paradis is a family-run business based on the desire to share the values behind the traditions and the culture of the Aosta Valley: respect and care for the territory alongside a quest for
quality and genuineness in products.
The aim is seek out and provide quality natural products for a discerning clientele, in full respect of the rhythms of nature and the territory in which we operate.
The company's core business is
beekeeping. Like the majority of beekeepers in the Aosta Valley, the company's practice is nomadic, moving the hives to different locations from the valley floor to more typical mountain areas so as to provide the bees with optimum areas and scope for pollen gathering, leading to honey,
wether monofloral (acacia honey) or polyfloral, of the highest quality. Production is based on traditional methods, in which the quest for quality and authenticity prevails, heat treatment is not used, and direct contact with the final consumer and direct sales are favoured. Over the years la Maison Agricole Petit Paradis has identified the ideal sites for production, producing honey that has excellent chemical, physical and sensory properties, as proven by the regional and national awards it has won at respected competitions in the sector, for example the national competition
“Great Honeys of Italy”.
Maison Agricole Petit Paradis also
cultivates fruit and vegetables such as apples and berries.
The latest company activity is the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants. Once steeped in magical, symbolic and ritual meanings, nowadays medicinal and aromatic plants, amongst their other uses, are recognised by the World Health Organisation for their importance in herbal medicine. It is worth pointing out that products of mountain areas are unique, cannot be duplicated and that therefore they have characteristics which are unique to their area of origin and are strongly influenced by the its specific climatic conditions.
The company cultivates the following varieties, following nature:
- HAWTHORN
- HYSSOP
- LEMON BALM
- RHUBARB
