Cooperativa Il Riccio s.c.

Cooperativa Il Riccio is a non-profit organisation whose overall aim is to allow its members to benefit from mutuality, working according to the principles of free and spontaneous cooperation.

Its objective is to promote chestnuts as a product, and increase their sales.

The cooperative is involved in the harvest, preparation, drying and sale of chestnuts brought to them by its members.

Members also deal in walnuts and hazelnuts.

Additionally, the cooperative transforms chestnuts into syrups, paste, flour, flakes, in order to provide adequate payment for those who harvest chestnuts, to encourage young people to harvest and indirectly to limit the damage caused by many of our Alpine territories being abandoned.
